Hi everyone,
I needed a flexible and lightweight solution for generating dynamic masks in Resolume Wire without relying on heavy video files or static images. I made ISF shader that generates shapes mathematically (using Signed Distance Fields), making it extremely GPU-friendly.
I’m releasing it for free to the community. It’s perfect for creating stencils, or layered effects with zero impact on performance.
Why use this over a video mask?
Zero Memory Bandwidth: It doesn't read pixels from memory; it calculates them. It’s much faster than DXV masks.
Infinite Resolution: Sharp edges at 4K, 8K, or any canvas size.
Fully Parametric: Change shapes and softness in real-time.
Key Features:
Shapes: Circle & Square.
Smart Transformations: Position (with wide range support - moves completely off-screen), Rotation, and Aspect Ratio correction.
Advanced Styling:
Feathering: Ultra-smooth edge softening.
Roundness: corner rounding
Outline Mode: Switch from fill to stroke with adjustable thickness.
Invert: Instantly switch between "Mask" and "Hole" mode.
Enjoy high-performance masking!
