HTML5 has tag video to remove flash video players from web. Opera and firefox will support ogg as main format for this tag.
Ogg (theora) is good. It has good CPU saving consumption, it's royalty free licensed and mature software. Ogg has been chosed as main media format by wikipedia and it is used by game developers.
