why didnt you implement compatibility for freeframe 1.0 and freeframe 1.5? i know that thomas from intrinsic has develop his own vj sofware with that feature so its possible!! and everyone would be very verry happy!!

freeframe 1 / 1.5 are realy slow and processor intensive, whereas freeframeGL is MUCH faster and better quality. if you offer support for an older, slower form of plugin, then peop;le will continue to make them.... if they have to make better, faster plugins, then people will have to make those..... i know which id rather have ;)

that may be the case but if you have paid for quite a few plugins its a bit annoying.

i own pretty much all of the commercialy available freeframe plugins. but once you have a good play around with the FFGL plugins, you can see how poorly a lot of the original ones perform. ive been lucky enough too see some of the ones being developed too, and they realy do blow the original ones out of the water imo. the original FF standard dates back some 7 years or so, i believe its time we moved forwards and put those cpu cycles to greater use.

I agree the standard needed to be updated and Avenue needed to go for FFGL only support but doing this and no longer bug fixing Resolume 2.x when there are still problems is the frustrating thing.
