Hi there
It's possible to trigger the effects with midi, i'ts also possible to apply effects to a channel when you push CTRL "shortcut" How can I trigger an effect directly to a channel with midi. With midi it always applies the effect on the final output right?
Please help Thanx

i have the same problem.
Also i´m not able to switch the effects on bypass.
And it would be nice to can declare controllers as rotary knobs, that change a value relative
-> the value would´nt jump, if i change f.e a layer.
possibly maybe
love alex

Hi All,
Resolume only reacts to midi signals when they are mapped to an event. So you can send what ever midi signal you want, Resolume won't trigger an effect into a channel because they are not mapped to channels.
Resolume internally knows what to do when the CNTRL key is used: the effect has to be placed in the channel, not the main output. I don't know how Eddy/Bart programmed this: if they added the CNTRL value bitwise, this results in parameter values beyond the midi scoop (0-127).
My suggestion for Bart/Eddy: make the CNTRL key assignable by a midi note, in hold mode and with an indicator in the GUI. For keyboard users: in this way you can create a CNTRL key on your keyboard which swithes layer/channel mode for effects. For controller users (like MC33), get a keyboard for this!!!
Personally I think it's better to store the channel effects in your deck, and use a controller for the alfa.
If I get any other ideas, I let you know ...
