May be i'll noticed thing that Vjs already experienced, but during the last week for a 3 days prestations.
I noticed thing that make me furious :
- Lags during decks changes.(slowing down between 5 to 15 fps for a 24 clips deck)
So I finaly make a prestation with only 1 big deck changing clips on demand (what a mess!!).
- Freeze of resolume (but Midi already works???). that I have to cut the midi clock that stop all playing clips and the resolume Gui was back (and for people without Midi controller??? just killing resolume and start it back... but not professionnal).
- Playing clips on 1 beats ( I did the mistake after a 3 hour night...I was tired) is making the computer freezing and no way to select it and make it back to normal play).
- A Fatal Error Blue Screen without any reasons.
- Each flash clip is slowing down Resolume for nearly 20 fps each... So 3 flash clips was nearly impossible.
May be screening output has to work on a separated thread that allows decks loading not to impact on output framrate.
My computer is new (A week old with vista preinstalled 2.1Ghz CPU, 4Go DDR2 800MHz, and a 9600GT with 1 Go) so I don't have any other problems with it.
Also there were positive points:
BPM sync between sequencer and REsolume Is Working as nice as it does.
BPM sync with taptap also
but bpm from my Midi AKAY MPD 32 is constantly changing and sometime up to 500 fps... making problems during the show with clips where duration was bpm synced...
a Last thing : images to illustrates effects could be nice and more friendly.
I also experienced Crashes during thumbnailing that is slowing down frame output.
After All of these problems will be solved, It'll Be the niciest VJing soft I ever used for live performance.
Come on guys it's a great work you did and not far from the perfection. Don't stop!!!!
