I`ve a question about using two different software during a live gig.
I want to combine resolume with robotfunk flowmotion_ switching these programms with a video mixer.
Is the use of two different programms possible, or can this cause problems?
please feedback

combining the outputs is not possible!!
if u are using output via second screen, do not use dvd max or theater-mode, you can use two programs, and if switching the output will change, i used this once with winamp and resolume and also had a power dvd running worked fine, this weekend i tried to run again but if u are using theater mode it wont work

It gotta be a 2 pc setup to get good output in each program, then just hook them up via the video mixer

under normal circumstances, i strongly suggest that allways using 2 different video signals from 2 different hardware.
at the moment we are using 2 arkaos with live feed + 1 dvd signal for emergencies. all mixed up in a video mixer. we are also using an external camera.
in long term we are planning to use 1 arkaos 1 resolume. both software looks similiar but they have some differences + advantages and disadvantages to each other.

We use resolume and flowmotion together (on two separate computers) - they are great combination!
Resolume for quick fire clip playing, flowmotion for fine control over lots of layered effects.

what about running one program and switching to another, like only running one at a time, but not wanting your desktop to show when changing programs?
apart from lens caping the projector, which might not allways be possible how could i do this?

ahahaha, try to use a simle mechanic video signal switcher, which are very very cheap, dude...
plug an 2. video signal like a dvd or video player
simply, switch to the second signal via switcher when u want to play with the settings or change to software even when your computer hangs up
cheers
