Cant adjust Framerate on my demo version of Avenue 3.3.2

Hello all. I am going to be purchasing the license to the Avenue 3.3.2, but have noticed that the frame-rate for my camera-in source, (Sony HDV1080i camera), and all other cameras Ive plugged in for that matter, seem to play at a low frame rate. Also, when i record a clip, and play it back, the frame rate seems even lower.

the manual says that I am suppose to 'right click' on the record button to set my record options. In the demo/trial version I have, this menu does not open at all. Will this open if I get the license key for this product?

Is there a general frame rate for my project I can adjust besides the recording settings menu, (that I cant get to..)

any advice would help, thanks!!
