Hi,
My Resolume Arena crashes several times. And I think that somethind to do with audio.
So I read the log file and found this line when the instance crashes last time:
"No Samples buffered when trying to get audio"
Last time I have a crash like this I was playing batman Arkham Asylum.
The crashes stops all the computer and the only thing that works was restart.
I'm using now a Win 7 64b home edition, GTX 460M with 290.53 beta nvidia driver and Arena 4 in a Core I7 6 Gb of RAM. No other software was opened, only Arena at the moment of the crash.
All the clips where encoded to DXV with premiere CS5
What could be?
Log indication when Arena crashes
Re: Log indication when Arena crashes
If you are not using audio, it could be you still have a silent audio track, which can be removed via the clip properties.
If you are using audio with your files, you could try increasing the audio buffer size via the Audio tab of the Prefs.
I loved Arkham Asylum btw. Did you play Arkham City yet?

Re: Log indication when Arena crashes
Thanks for that.
Yesterday I have problems with audio and incresing the buffer size helps to solve that.
it was 64 and goes to 2045 (or something nexto to that).
I will try a bigger buffer size and test now for a long time.
PS: Arkham City is extraordinary. But I expect a DLC that will complement the main story, cause a I'm a little bit disapointed with the final.

Re: Log indication when Arena crashes
It Crashes again.
I have send my feedback with the log in it. It contains the same line before crashes:
"No Samples buffered when trying to get audio"
This time with a 4096 resized audio buffer.
Is there something that I should do to solve this crashes?
I'm doing the folowing:
1) importing 4 clips (DXV format video with audio) to the same layer 3
2) Sync the bpm of each clip to the bpm of Arena
3) Set auto pilot to follow next clip
4) Set advanced mapping to the projector
5) play the clips in the layer

Re: Log indication when Arena crashes
I have discovered something:
If my composition is 640x480 and my clips are 720x480 allways crashes when is close to compass #380 and is playing the clip #5, even if no one has audios.
When the composition is 2500x480 Arena does not crashes at any point.
Conclusion: It is not a problem with the nvidia driver, or audio buffer but it is something on Resolume Arena.
Is there a buffer for vídeo based on composition size or something like that?
Does Resolume team have any suggestion?

Re: Log indication when Arena crashes
It seems that the revision 4565 solved this issue.
Thanks to Resolume Team!
