Arena - Advanced mapping: EXPORT & CopyPaste

Post by daxx »

Hi,

something useful in my opinion is the ability to export your mappingproject into an illustrator/photoshop file, with all mapped parts individually selectable. This would be very useful when working in After Effects.

for instance: this is how it works with madmapper: http://www.vimeo.com/40973584

An other useful functionality would be to be able to copy paste the created slices (input/output) between different screens. Because now, if I want to create different screens I have to manually redraw everything, which takes a lot of time.

Possible you think?

Cheers.

We're aware of this function in MadMapper. We'll have to see if it's feasible to make this a feature in Resolume as well.
An other useful functionality would be to be able to copy paste the created slices (input/output) between different screens.
In the 4.1 update you will be able to drag and move slices to different screens.

At the moment it's a bit up in the air whether we can make new additions to the Advanced Output in Resolume 4. We want to do a lot of things, but it will be a lot safer to postpone them to Resolume 5.

Ok,

So here is how i exported my created slice to different screen output.
Advance output presets are saved as XML files in documents.

therefore, save your slice under a new preset name.
Open the XML file generated and copy the slice from the file to the xml file of your other output.(each slice is enclosed in <slice> <\slice> tags and the beginning of the slice will have the name given to it)

Restart Arena and your slice will appear in the advance output.
Otherwise just change the preset and then load the desired preset again.

Hope it helps
