how do i fade a clip in and out with the numberkey shortcuts? im trying to use this for the projections of a play but it looks kinda weird when the clips just quickly and abruptly click to black and then the next clip clicks back on

the program doesnt have any problems with my graphics card like my labtop but yet it doesnt show anything in the preview or output, i have dual monitors and when i set it for my second monitor it just removes the mouse or if its in windowed mode, it shows an empty box
