True, and if you always used three layers, and would add a fourth one to be a common layer, it would work quite nicely.

Just wanted to bump this one, since it’s been a couple of years! It's a simple change that would save people a lot of time.
Either effects list defaults to collapsed or it remembers the state it’s in.

Or, if your computer doesn’t support the BMD solutions (which seems to apply to most laptops, including those with USB 3) you can get the Matrox MX02 Mini which after the workarounds described here works fine. Not nearly as ‘nice’ as BMD though, getting support is a pain in the ass whereas BMD are ...

Not sure if this has been posted before (I couldn't find it), the file names for screenshots could do with some tweaking - right now Resolume seems to just add a heap of 1s after the clip's file name for each subsequent shot. How about using the date and time?
