I have the same problem, using a PC i7 3Ghz, 4 Gb RAM, Ati 5770 1Gb... I tried other PC: Quad Core 2.4 Ghz, 4 Gb RAM, Ati 4670 1Gb, and everything goes right... please help us...
I believe the 5XXX serie ATI-cards are running openGL4.1 And the 4XXX series a lower version. So, there maybe a bug ...

Thank you, im really curious as to what can cause this error. I see I forgot to mention that recording on 640*480 or any other resolution causes the same error.
