DXV conversion makes HUGE files?
So I'm a little confused here. Everything I've read says to convert your clips to the DXV "compression" format.
I have videos that I've ripped from YouTube as .mp4s. For example, one of these files is 66MB in size. When I convert it as DXV with no audio and quality level 100 (although the guide ...

Quartz Composer in Windows?
Greetings all, I have not yet started experimenting with QC but I think I'd like to. So I'll track down some tutorials and such on that but I do have a "workflow" question (I suppose that's what you'd call it).
I have a MacBook Pro retina but it is the 13" version with IRIS (non-pro) so it's not ...

Re: Resolume running in "slow motion"?
Oaktown thank you for that. I don't know if that was part of the problem (since the buffer thing seemed to correct my issue) but I brought that composition speed slider up and when I drug it slower it did exactly the same issue I was complaining about. Another good thing to check!

Re: Resolume running in "slow motion"?
Hey Sadler, I'm on a PC and it doesn't have that file I don't think.
Ravensc, I increased the buffer size and that DID smooth playback! I wonder why this is though? I mean the thing was running fine for a couple of days and then just started doing that slow motion thing. I don't feel like I changed ...

Resolume running in "slow motion"?
Greetings all,
I'm having a bit of a strange problem. I've installed the demo of resolume on my work machine and I was playing around with it a bit as I followed the manual. At some point, the program started running *really* slow. I exited, rebooted, and the same thing continues to happen. For ...

Re: Deciding between two laptops
Yeah it turns out that second laptop is actually $1100 not $1200 so I think it's a no brainer. I'll have to check out the one you're talking about though!
Thanks.
Thanks.

Deciding between two laptops
Greetings all, my friend recently decided to move across country and that has left the club we have a monthly dance night in every month without any video. I have agreed to take this over because I'm pretty familiar with computers and A/V. I just decided to go with Resolume and I've been watching ...

Re: Maschine controller with Resolume
I'm using my Maschine controller for Resolume too!
Instead of trying to do everything with just MIDI, I chose to use PureData between the Maschine and Resolume.
My patch talks to Maschine via MIDI and to Resolume via OSC, and keeps track of everything in the middle.
I plan on doing a whole post ...
