have u allready tryed to reinstall your directx? I had similiar startup crash and than i realised that my directx is broken.

i think its quite basic question.. just wanna be sure :o)
Well.. i've been following VJzoo handbook and i reached problem in step where u're about to install freeframe plugins ( FFPPbasic and Veejay pack 1.1 ). The problem is simple for both - when i am in like 4th step my menu doesn't match ...

SOLUTION:
reinstall everythin what can be reinstalled and install the minimum u really need.

Thats what i have done:
1) formated windows
2) fully reinstalled my windows
3) than i installed:
a) paegasus mjpeg codec
b) indeo 5.1 ( from KLite but unchecked everything else )
c) VLC media player ...

what is it for that backup? I have no experience with it. Well now i'm learning resolume. looks good. but u know - am newbie ;o)

just when i tryed to run it few whiles ago it crashed. Starts normaly, ask me for serial (i hit 'try' option) and than it crash! In right corner of display appears gray square and everything freeze! Even ctrl+alt+delete doesn't work!

I haven't change anything. The only multimedia ...

So.. hiho again!

Thanks you once more. The thing that helped really was reainstalling my windows. After fresh reinstall i just installed pegasus PICVideo MJPEG codec and resolume - nothing else.

So can i ask u what to install next? I want to be able to play all my vids and movies formats but i ...

so i am just finished with reinstaling! And.. and.. and.. and it WORKS!

Änd where can i download that PicVido MJEPG codec? I downloaded one called pegasus PIC video2 wich include Motion JPEG, Wavelet 2000, Lossless JPEG.

hmm.. i think i allready tryed everything! With KLite, with CCCP, deleting splitters in zoomplayer, erasing allover again and again, reinstaling resolume, playing with new monitor and so i go on.
