Re: HD video capture devices FOR LIVE FEED
I use a Roland V4EX and it can work as a (very expensive) live video capture, as it has HDMI inputs and a HDMI or USB output capability. The good thing about it is that it's rock solid, I have never had any of my Roland mixers crash.

Carrot HD Rabbit Video Mixer, where to buy?
So I just found this thing, and it looks pretty cool, mainly because it has two full HD inputs, unlike the the V4EX (which I am currently using). THe main drawback seems to be that there is no built in video preview.
However, my main question, does anybody know where you buy one in North America, I ...

Re: Any way to map midi switches?
Hey everyone, just a note to anyone interested, I did succesfully edit my nanoKontrol2 using the software provided by Korg. I was able to change all the control change to note changes, now I can assign the record button to actually record with resolume! Sweet.

Re: Any way to map midi switches?
It's actually a nanoKontrol2
http://www.korg.com/us/products/controllers/nanokontrol2/
It's got some buttons for "Solo","Mute" and "Record" I love it because it is so small (although no back light) but darn I wish I could use those buttons for something.
BTW, for the record, Fatboy Slim used an ...

Any way to map midi switches?
I am using Resolume 2.41 (not sure if this is any different in Avenue) but every midi controller seems to have buttons for "record","play","solo","mute" etc, these don't seem to be note values or controller values, is there anyway to map these in resolume? Thanks!

Re: Midi Controller that allows to enter a specific value?
Good point, Oaktown.
I guess it comes down to how you interpret "turn the knob from 35 to 110, going through all the values in between". Either "going through" means skipping over, or it means sending out. It's a bit ambiguous, that's for sure.
Know what I mean?
Apparently we don't ;)

Midi Controller that allows to enter a specific value?
So for most midi controllers you have notes (which are on or off) and controls (which have a range of values) is there any controllers that allow you to enter a specfic value for the controller? Currently the controllers are usually knobs that go through every value, i.e. can you enter a value of 35 ...

Re: External USB Mic for very loud shows
It is possible but not all shows have the soundboard near the projector. That sure pre-amp looks interesting, but a little expensive.

Re: known limitations
Overall, can not load 30+ high res JPG at once (or sometimes that many)
Example:
Client walks into venue with minutes to opening and hands me tons of 2000px+ images to play as a slideshow (characters, scenes and other 3D models). Watch the ram usage creep up and crash and just over 8GB usage ...
