Re: ultrastudio mini monitor

Here are some screen shots of Quicktime and Modul8 showing Mini monitor as input… I did not go any further in the experiment, like actualy trying to use it as source.
No big deal, just strange.

Re: ultrastudio mini monitor

What kind of monitor are you using?
I am using a 55" Sony 4K TV. The TV does the job to recalculate the proper dimensions (1920x1080). Works perfectly when fed from the Macbook pro HDMI output.
Mini Monitor should not appear as input in any apps
I know it should not, but I read several reports ...

Re: ultrastudio mini monitor

Yes I am outputting HDMI and set the Mini monitor to 29,97. The latest drivers are installed. I'll give it a try once set to 59,94.
But what's strange also is that it appears as an input in some apps, so I assume it uses a generic driver that is not really optimized thus the problems. On the web ...

ultrastudio mini monitor

Hi, I just bought the BMD ultrastudio mini monitor to output 1080p 29,97 from Arena 5. It does feed the signal (Prores and Prores Proxy files) but the signal is very choppy and stuttering. If I send the same film layer to my second computer monitor the output is fine. In the Mini monitor app (BMD ...

Re: Advice on Decklink Quad 2

Could be very useful since next project will use multichannel audio (up to 12) with three screens. I'll have a look at this.

Re: Advice on Decklink Quad 2

I typically run both DL-DVI over fiber optic extender (signal) and USB over Ethernet extender (access settings) to my X4s.
I did not know about these modules. I use usb extenders, but they can't be run that long distance. Clever. Thanks for the tip!

Re: Advice on Decklink Quad 2

The Datapath X4 would be a great option for you as well. I'm a big fan of the X4 so if you can look some of my posts, you'll find out a lot of information about the X4.
What's your question re. Datapath DVI/SDI?
Yes, I checked many of your very informative posts (thanks!). The DVI/SDI question was ...

Re: Advice on Decklink Quad 2

That's rather good news. Then it would be a solid option for 4 projectors to be fed from the Decklink quad 2 card as 4x full 1080p29,97 or 59,94 signals.
I am glad to hear the system is stable inside the OWC Mercury Helios. Many people reported their satisfaction with it. This installation will be ...

Advice on Decklink Quad 2

The request I have is to base a multiprojection system for an installation using a Macbook pro or an iMac 5K for 4 video channels 1080p..
Does any one have experience with the Decklink Quad 2 card? They are a bit expensive since they require a PCI chassis, but would they be a good choice for full ...
