I have seen a post here and there but I am having an issue where my all my outputs, even with no external monitors attached, are freezing. I will read between 30 and 60 fps for 99% of the time but then every 60 to 120 second all content dresses for a half second while the fps says it drops to 15fps ...

I am having the same or similar problems. Even when there are no outputs set I still get a freeze frame for about half a second every minute or two.

Same thing on my 2013 rMBP.

Have you had any luck? I have a 2013 MacPro as well and I am having a similar issue just running even one layer.
I have check everything and shut down all process.
It is now also happening on my 2013 rMBP.
I thought at first it was hardware as I had never seen this before but now I get this on ...
