Hey, I have a follow-up question to this.

In RA5, I would load my plugin (a Processing sketch, with SpoutControls.dll) as a source, and when I activated it in Resolume, my sketch would begin playing (without opening an external window or the Processing environment)

Yeah, I mean, I think that section describes the problem I'm facing:

An exception is made for mappings applied to the Clip tab. These are always context dependent. This means that the same keys will control the same functions on all clips, regardless of whether they were mapped in Deck or Layer ...

So, I have some touch pads/buttons I want to use to control effects. Mapping the buttons to the Dashboard knobs (by setting those mappings to Layer) works fine.
