Don't get me wrong, I use SDI all the time but it's limited to broadcast resolution which is not very flexible in most cases. HDBaseT will work with any resolution whether you're working with SMPTE, computer or custom resolution. Most projectors these days are WXGA or WUXGA and you just can't get ...

I know that a WXGA (1280x800) (16:10 format) is possible over SDI, but not SMPTE-compliant. I would like to know if anyone tested ANY converter that would work with this resolution. I guess BlackMagic Design converter won't work since they tend to be SMPTE-compliant only devices.
