Re: Wire MUCH slower than expected
Be sure you are working with "Shapes" and not "Textures" 200 textures at whatever your resolution is is the same as 200 active layers in Arena/Avenue ;)
Ah yes, I assumed that my line objects were only producing 1 layer each, but I think in fact they were producing hundreds. "Merge" seems to ...

Re: Wire MUCH slower than expected
200 line shapes on my 2013 macbook pro make 23 fps. On a n M1 max, same is running at 112.

Wire MUCH slower than expected
Hi. I'm new to Wire and just starting to make some things with it. I'm finding it really slow though - I wonder if I'm doing something wrong or it's just not suited to what I want to do.
I thought I'd have a go at some moire patterns, so I'm generating a bunch of lines. 400 is a good number for ...

I have a large number of clips I want to use for a project, and by necessity some are at 25 fps and some at 30 (they're all from analog video sources and some were PAL, some NTSC).
As I understand it, Resolume is OK with ...

Re: R6 firewire input?
Thanks for your help!
Sorry for a slow reply - I got busy with something else. I'd really like to pursue this though, as the firewire in is still useful for old-school SD video.
In QuickTime X, the camera input appears as the name of the camera - (Panasonic) NV-GS55. Screenshot attached. That's ...

R6 firewire input?
I don't seem to be able to get the firewire input working with Resolume 6 (EDIT - to be more specific, it doesn't appear in the Sources list). I appreciate that this is old technology, but I still use it as an easy way to get old-school analogue video (from an analogue video synthesiser, through an ...
