There is no way for the autopilot of one clip to trigger the next full column, only clips from the same layer, right ?

Looks like it's possible to save the (opacity) envelope as a preset: that's an even better solution

same result as my 2nd method: clip gets replaced, opacity automation is preserved, but the audio track (which was disabled in the original clip) does not appear: there's maybe a trick to enable the audio panel afterwards ?

I have set "ignore column trigger" on a clip (a PNG file) and when I manually activate another column, that clip gets cleared; however, when I set that option on the layer, and set the clip option back to "layer determined", it works as expected....why ?
