Just thought I'd post an update here for anyone who has a similar issue in future.
I've heard from Resolume support and this is indeed how the system works, so I guess the moral of the story is to always renew a license BEFORE upgrading it. I will say though that Resolume support have been great ...

Resolume Upgrade Confusion
I've sent an email to support about this but am concerned they might not get back to me until the BF weekend is over, so I thought I'd ask here as well.
I bought Avenue during the last BF sale and have been enjoying it. Over the last 12 months I've realised I'd get a lot of use out of the Groups ...

Re: Advice with Recording BPM Synced Footage
Actually, one question I do have ... a quick Google search suggests that you can quickly set clip in and out points based on where the playhead currently is in a clip the 'I' and 'O' keys. But those don't seem to work for me - 'I' just triggers a slot on Layer 1, for example. Any kind of keyboard ...

Re: Advice with Recording BPM Synced Footage
Thanks Zoltán! Yeah, that's pretty much what I've been doing. I was wondering if there was a more direct way of accomplishing it, being more used to clip-based DAWs. But that's an ok workaround.

Advice with Recording BPM Synced Footage
Hi all.

Re: Adding transparent background to 'smaller' clips
Thanks Zoltán.
The clip isn't on the bottom layer, and in your screenshots, what you've got on the output monitor is what I'm seeing in both the preview and output monitors (a black background outside the image that is obscuring all layers beneath it). The only transparency is in the confines of ...

Adding transparent background to 'smaller' clips
Hi!
I'm a composer by trade, but during the pandemic as a project I thought I'd teach myself to make modest video stuff for my tracks. In other words, I'm a total novice with no experience with any kind of image work (just now learning about masking/chroma keys, etc.). So please excuse to absolute ...
