Re: Universe Chenges to '1' upon selecting node
Hmm in fact by coincidence i discovered that if an output was previously assigned to a (discovered) node and now a new node is available that uses the same IP address but has a different 'short name' the universe then defaults to 2 upon selecting that node. At least that is what i think happened ...

Re: Universe Chenges to '1' upon selecting node
Well, when you select a discovered node, the Universe number is taken from what that node sent to Resolume.
That's why I'm asking if the universe 1 is what's set up in your node.
First of all, this is happening without any regards to the Node i am using. But what field off the ArtPoll Reply would ...

Re: Universe Chenges to '1' upon selecting node
That seems to be completely irrelevant, normally speaking i set it to '0', but when i found out about the changing of the Universe, i started defaulting it to '1' to prevent issues.
Just did a small test to confirm that behavior, and regardless of what is being sent in the ArtPoll Reply, the ...

Universe Chenges to '1' upon selecting node
So as in the the Topic. When selecting a discovered node for a Lumiverse, the output universe changes to '1'
I did some testing and as far as i have found, this only happens when a discovered node is selected, not when an IP address is manually entered. (or when switching to 'No Output' or ...

Re: ArtPoll is received on WiFi not on Ethernet
Ok so sorry my bad, i had the subnet mask on the ethernet controller set incorrectly (255.0.0.0 instead of the proper 255.255.255.0) Now everything does arrive and show up. I guess it's the result of lack of experience with static IP address setups.
Could you provide me with a link on how to setup ...

Re: ArtPoll is received on WiFi not on Ethernet
Do you have a router/switch in the wired setup?
No i don't, but i don't have to.
That would be needed to route the packet properly to specific IPs
Well ehm, i am not really sure what to say to that, other than that i think that is just not true. There is no forwarding required. Forarding comes ...

Re: ArtPoll is received on WiFi not on Ethernet
Have you selected the Wired interface in the DMX preferences?
Yes i have, and all Artnet packages arrive just fine with the exception of the ArtNet Poll.
I am using the exact same code for receiving UDP packages on both WiFi & Ethernet, (other than specifying on which i am receiving) so i can ...

ArtPoll is received on WiFi not on Ethernet
Hi,
As in the topic. I am developing Artnet nodes, and although i don't use Resolume much myself, i use it mainly for testing. Now i also work together with a deco artist that does use Resolume as his main program.
Anyway, we both find that Artnet discovery is 'sketchy' by Resolume, to say the ...
