I used my sony camcorder for years and it had the same issue with turning off... I learned that if you leave the tape door open that the camera will stay on... Got me through countless live events... to be fair, i was using svideo output rather than firewire, not sure if that would make a difference ...

I haven't upgraded to 2 yet (still running 1.5 while i build my new computer), but I'm concerned that i don't see a clear deck button or reference to that feature in any of the documentation.

Is this gone now? If so, I might have to wait even longer to upgrade. I was hoping that someone would make ...
