Here is a DMX helper for Resolume quartz patch, that will help you to control your DMX Fixtures from layers, moving heads etc until the DMX Clip is implemented.
Supports one universe (512 channels).
Read the readme.txt for usage! http://palffyzoltan.hu/?url=programs&a=dmxhelper
enjoy!

It doesn't send DMX itself, if that's what you think - transitions between values would be impossible that way.
Usage
after installation drag to resolume,
adjust Fixture number and Channel number,
set the channel values.
create a Fixture in Advanced Output which shall have
the same number of Channels, and the colorSpace set to L(uminance),
place the fixture on the grayscale so that the brackets match, set its source to the layer with the patch,
set DMX output in preferences.
tip: You can make png snapshot of the setting to use later multiple times,
and also Transition from a snapshot to another works great!

here is a quick video of the patch controlling a 4 channel scanner.
notice the png snapshots fading to eachother
and you can of course use the png-s on a windows machine to generate the dmx output.
I'm using a raspberry pi with OLA as artnet to DMX converter.
