Output flickering

i'll try the no-preset tomorrow or next day here. also having same issue... oddly, it was getting progressively worse (flickering more and more frequently)... rtx 3070, running avenue, intel cpu. (i can get exact specs when in theatre next) ... the machine isn't on net, so hadn't updated (windows/graphics) it in a long time, so did updates (both windows, and manual nvidia drivers, no geforce/nv app stuff) a couple weeks ago, but no luck... still getting worse, and .much. worse two nights ago (as in every few seconds).

had venue order another projector, as what it .looks. like is similar to the dmd chip failing/not syncing correctly... but when trying a borrowed projector, with all new lines running to it, same issue. so back to computer... installed latest nv studio driver today, and frequency of flickers went .way. down (few minutes between, random timing, more common but not exclusive to brighter stills and dxv movies), but not completely gone.

so it does look like it's something in the nvidia driver that is being poked at, but not completely fixed... mayhaps something in the preset for resolume is exasperating the issue?

now that I have a few days until my next show, i will try the no-preset option (reinstalling same nv driver pack as i have in right now, after a full uninstall) and will report back.

at least if this works, then i'll have a good backup projector now. small theatres with tiny budgets... gotta love them.

I haven't done the reinstall (no-preset method) yet, I did get version numbers:

I went from Resolume 7.22.4 / NVidia Studio 572.83 (progressively worse flickering until it got really bad)
to Resolume 7.22.6 / NVidia Studio 576.02 (still flickered, but >much< less frequently than prior)

Both of the above installs done with manual d/l and install... I did not use the NVidia app. The 572.83 was installed after a complete driver cleanout (DMD? something like that)... 576.02 was installed over the 572.83 (normal upgrade procedure minus the app). A fairly current win10 is the o/s.

We do have a new (duplicate) projector on the way, and I will do the no-preset install after the projector swap-out... wanna make sure the infrequent flickers carry over to the new projector first (which I fully expect it to do)

Do a Custom nvidia driver install, and choose the Clean install.
Then igore the nvidia preset installation on Resolume startup.
7.23 will have the automatic preset install disabled.

Reiterating server's specs:
intel i9-12900KF (3,2GHz)
RAM 64GB
GPU: MSI RTX 3080 GAMING Z TRIO 12GB,
Windows 10 Pro 22H2
2 Displays: 1) 2560x1440 (performing), 2) 1280x1024 (control)

Did custom NVIDIA driver install from 572.60 to 576.02 (16/4/25) Studio driver, clean install, ignored NVIDIA preset installation on Resolume starting up dialog box.
No obvious flickering observed yet.

I'll come back with any news, if ever.
