Geforce 7 / DVDmax / 2nd monitor / F***D or not?!

Post by Merkavah »

I have the same problem. My card is a nvidia fx5500, i can see any video in full screnn with windows media player on the TV but in Resolume the DVD-max option enabled and i have no option to use full screen ...?

SAME HERE

I just bought a Shuttle SN25P, AMD x2, 2GB, Geforce 7 XFX card (7800 GTX).

In resolume 2.3 I see DVDmax as second monitor to enable. Media player plays full screen video on my cloned S-video output (if I span the screens horizontal, then Resolume is devided along the panorama... no option).

But Resolume just clones the monitor.

Why the H*LL does Resolume state: DVDmax, if this is a Matrox trademark?!?
(at least I can't find anything about "DVDmax" in my Nvidia XFX manual, nor at the Nvidia website...)

Please help, I have a gig in Venice in 2 days.... pfff...

enable dualview in the monitor setup, before starting resolume. of course there must be a second monitor or analog output. now there must be in the resolume setup the second monitor be aviable. ignore dvdmax, it has nothing to do with geforce.

If you're not using DVD-Max/Theatre Mode (which are clone modes) you must enable true dual display by choosing the 'extend your desktop onto this monitor' option in your display options. You should now have a 'monitor 1' (primary) and 'monitor 2' (the tv-out)

Then start up resolume and in the 'display settings' box there should be no DVD-Max option but dual (and triple) display options instead.

DVD-Max may work if you enable 'Dual display clone' and there is an option to make the overlay fullscreen in the second monitor (because that's what 'DVD-Max' is) which will probably in the 'video overlay' option if it's there.

With DVD-Max your output still runs when resolume is minimised when browsing the desktop or running another programme, plus you can view the fps info on your preview without it appearing in the output.
