windows 2000 or xp for resolume 2.3?

i have a ibm laptop with a 1.6ghz pentium 4 with 512ram which i am about to blank and only load resolume back onto (and obviously drivers, flash, etc), and was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on operating platform?

which appears to have caused the least hassle for you?

Windows XP is given as a system requirement.
