very new need help a little

hello guys.. this is my first post and gonna try to explain what im trying to do... this is very simple but kinda confusing on what im trying to do... ive beeen djing and producing music for quite some time now and want to start making visuals to dvd format.. im curently using resolume 3 and want to start making visuals to dvd format to take to after partys and chill out to and watch them with people show them what i got.... ok problems are the followings
1. what other program would i use to record a full 1 hour dvd set to
2. can i just use resolume or is that a bad idea.
any input is appreciated
if u would like to talk to me on yahoo or aim that would also help me out a ton just cuz i dont know much on this type of stuff..

The only way to record directly to DVD would be to use a standalone DVD recorder plugged into resolume's output, or you could record it (say to dv-cam) and re-capture and edit it - this way you could record hours of footage (or maybe several 'takes' of a set-piece) and edit down to the best hour - then author to DVD.

This would be the same for any VJ app I know. You would need at least dvd authoring software, alternatively if you want to edit it you'd need an editor like Premier. See Google for more info.
