anyone here import their clips from an external HD? any probs? fast enough?

It's recommended (for laptops at least). Technically you don't import your clips, they stream off the drive.

my new laptop have two drives it's recomended to use one external drive anyway ?

Hi Danger,
well only if you think your internal drives don't perform well enough. And external hd is allways handy and there are very cheap nowadays. Most external HD's are quicker then the internal ones.

we run external 250gb HD which makes a huge differnce to performance because the drives are alot faster the the lappies HDs.
