we need 1 more output device :)

Post by Dahooka »

hi all,

i tested resolume this minute and i feel lucky it's greatest vj software i've ever seen....
so u ask fore more essentials, here they are, we need an outputdevice, like a webcamdriver, we're 2 DJ's and do a webcam inet radio show, so we would need an webcam outputdriver, which we can input in our streaming software, please contact me on my email, if you have allready a solution for this please contact 2.if you've done it... s.sikora@gmx.de
Thanks a lot

Yours,

DaHooka

but our streaming software is not based on free frame. so we need resolume output to appear as a web cam driver. splitcam (http://www.splitcamera.com/) for example can do this..

essential feature???? its not that essential realy....

it is possible to do at the moment, but a bit of a hack. buy a video capture card that uses the video for win drivers. you will be able to use this in your splitcam program. then just plug the Svideo output of your capture card into the svideo input of the capture card. though i wuoldnt realy recomend streaming to the internet from the same computer that your running resolume on. so you could put the capture card into another computer.

or if you can program C, the source code of petes livecamera plugin is availible which is a VFW input freeframe plugin, and so is the source for patchbox... im sure you could mangle the 2 together some how :P

In response to Levon - How can you think that a video output digitizer isnt an essential feature ? Internet delivery of an artist's video stream is absolutely a vital feature and I've seen so many really nice pieces of software lacking this simple driver...I want to use Resolume to produce video art and blend with multiple firewire cams for an Internet TV channel, so having a way to send the Resolume output to a server is the most important feature lacking right now. To Dahooka; If youve written a driver which can isolate and "grab" Resolume's output can you find it in your heart to make this available to another VJ trying to network cast a show ? - thank you, stash

im just saying that i wouldnt deppend on a single computer to do both the live video mangling... as well as running as a webcam server.
