Hello again friends!
Got a weird one. We have a new install, and so far everything is running lovely and smooth. I'll start with the setup.
Win 11
Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF
64GB ram
Blackmagic Decklink pro 8k g2
2x projectors running via SDI out on BM card
1x HDMI in via BM card.
Runs absolutely smooth as a butter at 60fps 4k 2160p50 but after a few hours FPS starts to drop and changing clips becomes stuttery. This seems to clear on application restart, but I'd like to not, obviously.
Clips are 30fps, and between 1gb and 8gb in size. Minimal effects etc.
Aside from lowering the FPS of the output and project, is there anything else I could do to troubleshoot?
Feel free to tell me to go away, I'm just in awe of how helpful the folks have been here so far.
Intermittent drop in FPS?
Re: Intermittent drop in FPS?
Do you see any consistent climb in RAM, or VRAM usage?
How many are the "few hours"?

Re: Intermittent drop in FPS?
Hi
No rise in RAM or VRAM.
GPU is using 3.7GB dedicated and 0.5 shared.
Resolume using 4.6GB RAM no more than 8% CPU.
Few hours is typically 12+.
Restart resolves but it comes back every time.

Re: Intermittent drop in FPS?
In Resolume
During issue:
CPU 5%
RAM 21%
VRAM 20%
FPS 10.7
Clearing all clips doesn't improve it.
After restart of resolume (NOT PC):
CPU 5%
RAM 18%
VRAM 6%
FPS 60
So I guess there is a climb in VRAM

Re: Intermittent drop in FPS?
Further to this, after restarting, I'm watching the FPS gradually drop pretty much immediately.
Any thoughts?
Videos are .mov
Not much in the way of effects apart from a crop here and there.

Re: Intermittent drop in FPS?
Are the files DXV movs?

Appears to be when I drag the .mov into Arena yes
Re: Intermittent drop in FPS?
I have resolume limited to 60fps, and in the last hour has dropped to 20FPS
Re: Intermittent drop in FPS?
Can you send us the Resolume log file via the feedback tab in preferences?
