Not sure if a bug or a feature request. If the latter, not ideal.
Question is based on 7.23.0, 7.23.2 as well as older versions.
When I set a clip to e.g. 50% opacity and replace it (click & drag on top), the new clip is at 100%. Also the alpha type resets but the blend mode does not.
Makes it really frustrating to program a show, get updated videos or backgrounds and have to cross-reference an old copy of the clip for old settings.
Effects, their opacity and other tweaks transfer over so it would be only logical for main clip info to do the same, no?
IN/OUT points also don’t transfer but I can kind of understand that - the new clip has different timeline info which could result in confusion or unforseen results.
(Edit: it seems IN/OUT now carries over in 7.23.2 yay!)
Another thing I’ve noticed is when replacing a clip, sometimes that instance keeps the duration of the previous clip. Manually typing in the new value fixes it but seems like an anomaly. Not to mention the added “fun” of troubleshooting why a clip is misbehaving.
