wireless controller

Post by juba »

completed my wireless controller today.
Image
it has 3 pots, 1 joystick, 11 buttons (4 more when combining some)
i'm planning to use it for global effects, to do some fine tuning close to the beamer or just to walk around. for the rest i use it besides 1 or 2 doepfers (a dail and a fader) and a custom made triggerbox

the wireless controller is build from a wingman cordless gamepad (logitech), i cleaned and modified the print and build it inside an old sturdy toy. i route the joystick signal to midi using rejoice software. i can use it at about 20 meter from the pc, have to test it life though... it's not always smooth... but it's a nice fun device, and it has a secret compartment for my stash. ;)
the other controller is build from a ps2 keyboard and works like a charm! it has about 90 functions (lot's of shift- combos)

now i'm looking for a way to map "global effect up" and down to midi (this does not work with a ps2 keyboard, and is not possible to use with midi, or maby i'm missing something).

i've build an other tiny wireless controller a few weeks ago;

same as the wired controller (layer select, decks, clips, play modes, global effects, effect banks etc) but then a bit smaller (14x8 cm) and without wires...
