I've been sent a whole bunch of clips for a gig, some of whic,h for some unknown reason have audio, which is not needed.
Is it worth re-converting them without the audio?
Will stripping the audio from inside Resolume have the same impact?
Does having audio make any difference at all?
I'm guessing that having the audio there will at least impact RAM usage. Does stripping it from inside Resolume resolve that?
Re-rendering without audio?
Re: Re-rendering without audio?
Another question.
Does rendering to DXV with alpha make a difference to the file when there's actually no alpha in it?

Re: Re-rendering without audio?
To both questions, if possible in pre-production to render the files without audio or without alpha if that is not needed I'd do it.
But I would not expect a noticeable performance difference if you play that clip with stripped audio or you play a clip rendered with alpha while it doesn't have any transparency.
