assigning deck tabs to midi volume

Post by Anonymous »

Hi All,
Oli / Anyone here (forgot my password, help Bart!)

I was wondering if it was possible to
instead of having a different MIDI note assigned to each Deck tab,

we could have a MIDI volume instead,
so when I turn a single nob or push a slider
it would be possible to scroll through the deck tab?

just a though,
Oli :)

If you're thinking about assigning midi knob to banks - you should be able to route the signal through MIDIYOKE/MIDIOX. That shoul allow you to divide the knob range (0..128) to 8 ranges and get a different MIDI note for each of them. Then use the notes in resolume to trigger banks.
However, with such solution, to get from bank 1 to 8 you need to get through all six in between and that would probably slow down the whole thing.
Using switches/keys just seem to be better for that.

I use Resolume in quite a linear way sometimes,
and do only need to to get to the next/previous deck tab,
and in my case assigning 8 buttons for decks
is a waste of controller buttons...

is it possible to ask for next / previous deck midi triggers in 2.4 ?

cheers, Oli / VJ Anyone
