transcode videos for RESOLUME

Post by chopped »

i've got lots of viedeos in many different formats. i want to transcode them for use in resolume. i wanted to use
- MJPEG format
- no audio
- 320 x 240 size
- 25 fps
- AVI container
i transcoded it with mediacoder.

but somehow it doesnt seem to work in resolume, i just get empty channles..

what program can you recommend to transcode videos. it should be possible to transcode several videos at once...

Greetings,
I had the same question about two months ago, and the answer was to use VirtualDub. (http://www.virtualdub.com) It's a bit obtuse, but works really well. You need to get your settings ready and saved in VirtualDub, then batch with DubMan http://dubman.sourceforge.net/ . As far as the codec goes, i've been using the Morgan MJPEG codec at 400x300, because that's what the resolume documentation recommends. I have also had success with 640x480.

Hope that helped!
David
