Resolume controlled by Ableton

Post by vjin1 »

Hi

Im trying to do all the controlling of Resolume from Ableton, so it can be saved and run in time to the music by itself. This would be great!!!

So far the only trouble I have is with the 1234 grid thing of clips, I only seem to be able to control it with the keyboard, not with midi notes.

So I suppose it would be a case of selecting decks, selecting clips and fading between them, these are the main controls I need to find, it's a little bit tricky to understand which is which in the list of controls.

Anyone able to provide some help or insight into this? Would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I didn't know where else to put it.

Basically, my main question is how do I activate a certain clip? Is it just MIDI notes from C1 onwards?

hi vjin1,
go to midi mapping in the preferences window.
onl the left you see a grid that reprsents the channels and has the caption 'channel notes'. Click on one of the little blocks in the grid to set it to midi learn mode, press a note on your keyboard or send a signal from ableton and voila that note corresponds to the channel you selected.
