Receiving a BPM signal from a standard DJ Mixer

Post by Crowny »

Just a question about using the BPM function with a standard DJ Mixer line out.
I want to be able take a line out from a Dj mixer and run it into my labtop somehow to work with Resolumes BPM clock. Is there anything out there in Midi world or the audio world that will take a line out signal from a DJ mixer and send a BPM signal that Resolume can recognise?
I've worked with Ableton and had no problems but would love it if I could just plug in to any mixer at a whatever club and be able to sync up my visuals.
Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers for that.
Looks like a winner. I was looking at another unit which is:

Pioneer effect machine - efx 500

but the Soundbite Micro is a lot cheaper and smaller.
I've contacted them to get a bit more info.
Thanks again
