is there a way to scratch the vids in resolume?

we use dm2s with the midi hack to scratch by assigning the playhead to the scratch wheels ;)

but i find toggling the direction of a clip backwards and fawards is far more effective at making it look like scratching.

Hi Stolhoek,
do you mean scrating with your mouse or midi gear?
Mouse is easy, just click anywhere on the playhead of one of the layers to start scratching.
If you have a midi controller, you can assign a midi controller to the playhead. It's not very accurate because the whole length of the clip is mapped to the 0..127 range of your midi controller. So this works best witch short clips.

If you have an endless midi controller it will work much better.
Just assign your endless (rotary) controller to the playhead, or step frame function (check the midi controller function list in the preferences window) when the controller is changed it will step up or down a frame at the time, depends on wich direction you turn your controller.
You get the best results when setting the clip wich you want to scratch to pause and then use your controller.

thanks guys. ive ordered a dm2 and its on its way. whats this hack that i need? or can i just assign all the buttons to a fucntion through resolume?? can someone recommend a good 20 button controller for selecting the vids? possibly with a few knobs on it.

You ca scratch and I use KORG microkontrol's slider for that
