React controler - mac conpatible or not??

Post by 8Ballvjs »

I run a Mac G4 and am interested in buying resolume and the react controler. Will they be mac conpatible or is it just a pc based thing?
Cheers Rhods

I think that the problam is not the ReAct controller...
Unfortunately there is no OSX version of resolume.
(PC only...)

(but I'll be the happiest man in the world if...;) I got a powerbook...)

Some said that Resolume works Great on MacIntel with XP on it.

yes we have a macbook pro and it runs Resolume just great. No svideo output though!

The ReACT will work just fine on OSX because it is a midi device like any other.

Sometimes I use Arkaos to mix about ten clips and that way make completely new footage (apply effects, use chaos mode in Arkaos and record it on my capture card). Then burn it to DVD and use this new footage to mix it with my other clips.

I don't think Arkaos is very suitable for live mixing, unless you like to play like Stevie Wonder on a keyboard during gigs. Since I'm a very lazy vj who likes to have a hand free for a beer, I don't.

For live mixing I would definately recommend Resolume. And a V4.

Just to be clear:
Resolume will not work with Apple OSX.
There is microsoft windows installation only.

The ne Macbook can run windows as a parallel OS.
