core 2 duo imac and bootcamp?

Hi,
As I'm suffering low performance on my acer 5024, so the question of hardware comes back again.

THE option seems to be getting 17" core 2 duo imac (about 700-800Â£)

- it's more portable than any shuttle (almost as laptop)

- I can make it work with resolume with bootcamp and windows.

The questions are:

Is c2d imac Conroe or Merom? anyone knows the performance comparison between those 2?

Edit: imac are Merom - clock speeds indicate so

So how does Merom compare with Conroe?

How Resolume performs on bootcamped intelmacs? Any problems with USB or video capture?

Anyone tested Resolume on Core 2 Duo Laptops?

NExus Intent says desktop version rocks, but mobile processors are a different story

it's a very good idea and would be fullfilment of many VJs dreams if only bootcamp supported s-video output. At the moment it doesn't support it and has problems with mini dvi converters.

Intel Powerbooks pro suffer similar problems.
