resolume looking for dvd drive

serious problem here. got a gig tonight and resolume (2.4) has suddenly started playing up.

when i launch it with no disk in the dvd drive it complains, so i put a disk in the drive and then it will only browse that disk- it won't let me browse the hard drive and it doesn't list any decks or effects. i started running it with logging and it seems that it trips over when it tries to write something to the dvd. so i opened the resolume.ini in the settings directory and saw this:
directory=d: - which i changed to c: but that setting seems to be ignored when i startup resolume and the same thing still happens.

help!

it seems as tho editing resolume.ini to point to the c drive and then restarting the machine made this problem go away
