Indeo 5.1 Anti Aliasing

Post by 0verfl0w »

Hi!

A lot of people seem to get good results with the Indeo5.1 codec.
I have a logo animation with a lot of diagonal lines - and I get a lot of aliasing with the indeo codec.
Quicktime - especially Sorenson 3 - does a much better job with anti aliasing - but the playback isn't smooth enough.

Any ideo how I can get a better result with the Indeo codec.

btw.: I am exporting directly out of After Effects with a resolution of 800x600 - I want the best quality.

thx in advance

aliasing has nothing to do with the codec. its a render issue.so i think you didnt use best quality in after effectsin the render settings.
but if you use colour ramps, there might be artefacts with indeo.

Be sure to render with the render queue (composition -> add to render queue), not just export to avi. It has a lot more options and control.
