OpenGL and effect-adjustment limitations

Post by mistashintla »

hi. i really like resolume and i use it since its availability. it is unexaggerated a great tool for live-vjing.

compared to other great tools like modul8 i really miss all the possibilities of opengl effects in resolume. i'm aware of the drawback in recording to disk, but if it would be possible to use opengl effects at least on the 3 global effects (without recording their impact on the clip) it would be a big step.

as opengl programming is really easy i think the integration should be a major task for any upcoming releases.

another drawback is the unnecessary limitation in the number of effect parameters sliders and the lack of "checkboxes" and/or "radio" buttons and buttons at all in the effect-adjustment. now its really primitive (a slider instead of a on/off checkbox)

are there any plans for future releases to solve the mentioned limitations?

Yeah the sliders in resolume suck. I have about 2000 fonts installed which are mostly cool shapes, and picking the one I want to use is sometimes IMPOSSIBLE.
