hi apologies if there is already a thread on this but am noticing my computer is sluggish when runnin 3 layers in resolume..my clips are all 640x480 using indeo 5.1...somebody told me i can run the clips on considerably smaller resolutions eg 400x300 and u wont notice a difference in quality as this is a special feature in resolume..is this true?
thanks
resolutions
hi Sheeba,
Well what that somebody meant is that when running resolutions of 400x300 the quality isn't that bad for a vj performance. But of course 640x480 is better in quality. It would have been nice though if we would come up with a scheme that would let 400x300 look like 640x480. we would be rich!
Using 400x300 is a choice you will have to make for yourself, it's a tradeoff between quality and speed.
Cheers
Edwin

have you tried playing the video files from the internal HD? modern laptop drives have much better data rates then a couple of years ago.Originally posted by sheeba
