we are working on a project, where we need to be able to delay an image from digital video in real time and blend the real-time image simultaneously on one monitor. can anyone give us advice on how to do this, or what program we can use for macintosh?

One way of sort of doing this is to use a hardware mixer and set the same chanel to both buses, then apply a strobe effect on one of the buses and mix between the two.

Non realtime tbe delay effect can be achieved using some of the time filters in after effects.
