what are people doing with DMX

Post by levon »

just wondering if people have videos of what they are doing with DMX. are many people using DMX? how about DMX out, using flash scripts to control lighting?

be great to see some examples of work.

I've never tried it but I think it'd be pretty bad ass to have a moving head controled by the position of the playhead whenever you scratch :)

Not sure about MIDI/DMX out on resolume but logically you could go Midi out of resolume into say martin light jockey?

We have some movingheads on schoolparty's, with usb>dmx converters for steering them with a home-made program, but I'll see if I can connect them to resolume :)

don't use it (i'm LJ too)
one of the reasons is that my lightconsole software still doesn't support dmx in (but the dmx-in connector is already there.......)
The other way around it would be handy if i do a black-out on the light controller and resolume would follow.
resolume too dmx would be cool when they put some ambilight/moodlight function directly in resolume so i could use 4 dmx RGB led strips = 4x 3 channels. I never seen something like that in shows but i'm sure would be a great eye-catcher!!

Btw: handy to have wifi on your gig ;-)
