VJ FEST Istanbul 2008 will be a demonstration of the art of VJing as a social act. It’s aim is to introduce and discuss different aspects of VJing and contribute to the development of this new profession. Video Jockeys from Turkey will meet VJs from other countries. They will share their knowledge about the subject, and help each other to improve their techniques.
There will be workshops on mixing and editing video. There will also be live performances.
Electronic music parties will be in Taksim Istanbul. All workshops will be held in a conference room. Workshop Plan is like this:

It will be a good chance for exchange of ideas. Fine Arts, media and cinema students, VJs, musicians, artists, programmers, software designers, technicians, light designers, sociologists, and whoever has an interest in this festival are all very wellcome.
