diagonal line

I've optimised my avi files as I should.
I've a nice meaty computer.
however most but not all clips seem to play with a diagonal line distortion from bottom left corner to mid right side of display.
it seems dependent on display size but I need it BIG for projecting!!!
any ideas

which graphics card do you have
mine is a hercules prophet radeon 8500 LE

not far off. am using a radeon 7500/VE
this is driving me nuts.

i think its a problem with the card . i havenÂ´t found any solution to the problem so far.
but i think itÂ´s a problem if you have footage that is not similar in the following fields. then resolume shows more than 25 / 30 fps and that causes the lines.
